I present you Ben Hogan's swing.

His elegant swing is also very effective. Tiger Woods once said "Only two players have ever truly owned their swings Moe Norman and Ben Hogan".

Here is a video in which Ben Hogan explains the indispensable low body movement on the backswing and on the downswing.I let you admire the grace of this action. It is simply magnificent!

To succeed in doing his swing:

ON THE BACKSWING

1- Move slightly forwards the left wrist at the beginning of the swing by bending the right leg

2 -Throw laterally the left arm while turning the left wrist around the arm axis (pronation of 1/8 of a turn) .The consequence of this action is the bust rotation. Pay attention to the left arm on the swing plane.

3 -Arm "vertically" the left wrist.

IMPORTANT: move the 2 knees on the backswing because this action facilitates the low body movement on the downswing.

ON THE DOWNSWING

On the downswing beginning :

4-Throw the club with the left hand (or the right hand) and move the low body as recommended by Ben Hogan. So, the club is placed on the swing plane and we obtain the regularity about which all the golfers dream!

REMARK: the low body movement can be made or in a aware way or in a no-aware way.And so, each player has to choose among these two methods the one which produces the best golf shots. Do not go too fast with the low body when this action is consciously made.

This photo shows the change which Ben Hogan made at the top of his swing to become so regular. Thanks to his right knee movement at the beginning of the swing, he changes the left wrist position at the top of the swing.More exactly, the left wrist is no more in a flat position but in a cupped position. That is slightly curved.

The secret revealed by Ben Hogan on August 8th, 1955 in Life magazine:

The method to obtain a cupped left wrist at the top of the swing:

Why a cupped left wrist at the top? The answer with the very dynamic Gary Player.

The photo below shows the ideal club position at the middle-descent. Indeed, the downwards club continuation crosses the ball.

I like these two photos very much because they show the point that Ben Hogan and Mike Austin are identical at this swing moment. It is really disturbing!

For a deeper understanding of Ben Hogan's swing, here are two very interresting videos of his swing.

And to finish, I have collected in the video reader below the best clips on Ben Hogan which I have met on You Tube.
